The Social Science Department consists of Religious Studies, Psychology, Sociology, and Health and Social Care.
We aim to challenge learners to debate and apply their own knowledge to the curriculum.
Our teaching of Religious Education offers pupils encounters, visits, contexts, situations and an introduction to philosophy.
We teach the AQA specification to Psychology A level students. All are entered for the AS exams and then for the A2 exams if they continue.
Sociology is the study of societies and how they shape people’s ideas, social behaviours and their cultures, and how, in turn, people interact and shape their societies.
