FACILTIES at Bay House School
Main Hall
The Main Hall is situated within the attractive ‘Old House’ area of the school. It is of a traditional set up with a raised stage. Dimensions are 23.5 metres in length (excluding the stage) and 12.5 metres width. The stage measures 4.5 metres deep, 12.5 metres wide. There is good access for disabled visitors into the main hall and a designated disabled toilet.
The school are happy to lend tables and chairs to hirers at no extra cost. The hall opens out onto a pretty lawned area with trees and shrubs which can be used by hirers and their guests. It is a lovely spot for relaxed photographs.
The hall will hold a maximum of 350 people with chairs set up in a theatre style. For an event where guests are seated at tables, 250 would probably be a more comfortable number.
The backdrop of the old house makes for a splendid photographic oportunity.
Lower Hall
The Lower Hall is situated opposite the Main Hall and has direct access to the kitchen and main playground. This hall is slightly smaller than the main hall and does not have a raised stage. It will accommodate a maximum of 250 guests seated in theatre style. For events with table seating, 150 would fit comfortably.
This hall has the same good access for disabled visitors.
Kitchen
It is possible to hire the kitchen if you are having an event in either hall. Use of fridge and freezer space, ovens and hobs, hot and cold water is available. Hirers are not able to use utensils or small electrical appliances.
There is a wide area between both halls that is available for use by the hirer and their guests. Some parties choose to set up their bar in this area.
Classrooms
Classrooms are available and are generally suitable for groups of 30.
Grass Areas/Fields
We have playing fields that are available. We currently offer football pitches during the winter season on our Military Road site.
Car Parking
There is a large car parking area to the front of the school.
